Many of us like to listen to Hindi Film Music. Everyone has their favourites, the songs they can't forget and the songs they absolutely hate. The love for old hindi film songs was what brought two of us (me and Rashmi) together and even after so many years we keep discussing and dissecting different songs.
And then we just thought, why not write the things we discuss so much? In some sense, when it comes to music, we can't be more different than each other. She is a professional singer who has been learning music for more than 25 years. I, on the other hand, have no formal training in music and my bathroom singing skills have just improved from "absolute torture" to "just bearable", after all these years with her. But we both are avid listeners. Both won numerous prizes in Antakshari on the college festival circuit (often together as a team). That makes us just enough arrogant to attempt something like this.
